Executive *Brand Quotient and 100-Day Plan of Action

What is “Executive Branding?”

Widely misperceived as “image” or other superficial personal attributes, executive branding is a powerful way for a leader to identify and leverage personal behavioral strengths and management skills to support success of the team and the organization, ultimately strengthening the company brand from the inside out.

The Problem with Status Quo Executive Development

  • Traditional assessment methods are viewed as punitive and/or biased
  • Limited follow-up or next steps in traditional executive performance reviews
  • Resistance to “outside” coaching

Why EBQ100?

  •  The executive drives the assessment and “owns” their 100 day plan of action
  • The executives brand is integrated with and supports the organization brand
  • Team strengths are linked to individual strengths for an exponentially improved performance result

The EBQ100 Program is designed to help business executives create a powerful, authentic and sustainable personal brand strategy that links to a “rolling” 100 day plan of action.

Unlike other executive assessments, EBQ100 utilizes a unique Executive Brand Report designed to help individuals to both develop and execute their brand strategy. The process begins with an online data‐gathering process that is designed to accelerate the personal brand strategy and foster a successful execution.

In Phase 1, information about the participant is gathered and analyzed in a two‐step online process. In the first step, participants provide information to help identify their current level of personal branding effectiveness within the organization.  This is done via confidential online and face-to-face assessments.

In Phase 2, a  draft “personal alignment scan” is created to ensure cultural fit, operational priorities, political and team considerations, and complete an initial prioritization matrix (what issues to focus on first). The individual’s personal behavioral characteristics are analyzed by an EBQ100 Executive Coach and Brand Strategist.  This information is shared in a 1:1 mentoring session  to help the executive better understand how they are perceived by others and how their personal behavior can contribute to and strengthen or detract from their personal brand.

All of this information is then compiled in the form of a comprehensive Executive Brand Report that provides an initial strategy with specific instructions and tactics for completing a personal Brand Gap Plan that is designed to close the gap between the participant’s existing and desired brand.   An EBQ100  Personal Brand Strategist meets with the executive to debrief and  review the comprehensive report, and develop a 100-day plan of action to ensure an alignment with the individuals goals and outcomes.  The result is the compilation of an effective and powerful prsonal brand strategy that benefits the individual and the organization.

In Phase 3, launch elements of the 100 day rolling action plan are enacted, with execution coaching sessions to support the participant.

100 day elements include:

  • Communications plan
  • Team assessment matrix
  • Influence map of the organization
  • Prioritization of deliverables
  • Personal Scoreboard
  • Decision implication mapping

The Result?
The net result is a game plan to support both individual effectiveness and contribution to the organization they are supporting.

  • The employee implements a guided personal brand strategy ‐ not just a list of ineffective tactics.
  • Employees focus on realistic goals for individual growth and increased sensitivity to their impact on others.
  • The employee learns how to leverage their strongest point of differentiation for the benefit of themselves and the organization. Differentiation means each employee has an opportunity to shine at what makes them unique.

With the EBQ100 Plan, Employees learn that “everything communicates” and that the perception of others is the reality they must use to launch their behavioral change.

Their words, management style, emails, interactions, reports, phone skills – every action represents their brand as well as the organization’s. The EBQ100 Program is unique among personal branding approaches and provides participants with effective and actionable strategies to both create and sustain a powerful personal brand strategy.
